Just so everyone knows, the fawn gene is recessive, represented by fwfw for expression, and Fwfw for carrier. Smoky fawn (fawn lightening without the spots) is represented by fw^s, and is recessive to the fawn gene. For smoky fawn to show, the genetics must be fw^sfw^s, making it a very rare mutation indeed.
