Pumpkin

Well, I got to borrow a REALLY nice D-SLR for the weekend for an art project, and you can bet I was going to take advantage of it I finally get to show you all my pet chickens in all their glory!

This is Pumpkin. She got her name for obvious reasons: she's small, round and orange. She also is ironically the only one of our chickens who likes to eat pumpkin (we didn't know this when naming her). She's our youngest, probably about 3 (we bought her when she was about 1) and is a buff Pekin Bantam (she has a bustle for a tail).

Despite the fact I can hold her in one hand, she's full of spunk - she could scare the scariest attacker when she's clucky - puffs herself up and screams like some ungodly monster. Even when she's not she likes to puff up her feathers and try to herd you about like she's the boss - the literal definition of ankle biter! She is a sweetie though, and never stops talking! Her voice is something else, really deep and croaky which totally doesn't look like it would come out of her mouth. Her pass times include plotting her next house heist (she worked out how to open the door before it was fixed) and watching TV. She thinks she's human, she really does XD
